Yoojung began piano lessons at age four and later trained as an organist under Dr. Dong-Lim Min. She earned her Bachelor of Music at Yonsei University and her Master of Music at Northwestern University, where she received the Kenneth G. and Helen C. Merrill Scholarship. She went on to pursue doctoral studies in organ performance at Indiana University before relocating to Southern California.

Yoojung now lives in Summerlin, NV. She has worked as an active accompanist and private piano instructor, as well as serving as the organist at several churches across California, New York, Illinois, and Indiana. She has taught as adjunct faculty at Saddleback College and Concordia University Irvine.
